Night at the Museum Engagement shoot – Nix and Dave
Nix is a school teacher, Dave is an accountant and they have known each other since they were 3 years old. They describe themselves as having the whole nerdy thing going on, but actually they are both creative dreamers with a flair for the offbeat.
I am not entirely sure how we came up with the theme for their engagement shoot. We decided on the Durban Natural History museum as a location, and things just happened organically from there. I always try and tap into the vibe of my clients and as I was shooting I realised that my pics had a “Night in the Museum” feel to them. This just happens to be one of their favorite movies!
I have so enjoyed working with these two as they have really entrusted me to go with my creativity and feel things out intuitively.
