Joy and Otto aren’t exactly love struck twenty-somethings who wanted a wedding album filled with photos of themselves posing around the Oyster Box, and although their wedding was an incredibly classy affair that had the dress, the decor and all the other frills that make a wedding sparkle, it was really about the people who came to celebrate with them. Friends and family are very important to Joy and Otto, and they spoilt their guests to an event that was as much about their commitment to each other as it was about the love they have for the people in their lives.
Besides a few moments of posed formal pics I approached this wedding as a wedding photo-journalist and aimed to capture the atmosphere of the day “as a fly on the wall”. It wasn’t too hard to shoot emotive images as the love that the guests feel for these two filled the Pearl Room of the grand old Oyster Box Hotel in a very tangible manner.
Joy and Otto it really has been a pleasure getting to know you both and capturing your special story. Thanks for everything you have been a “joy” to work with 🙂

Last but not least Joy would like to thank Kevin Joseph the head chef and assistant general manager at the Oyster Box. He was fantastic.
