Granny Mouse Country House Picnic Wedding – Adel + Drew.

One day not too long ago, Drew took Adel on a picnic and got down on one knee ….. she said yes, and what you see here today is their picnic themed wedding. They used their engagement as inspiration for their wedding plans and what a wonderful wedding it turned out to be. It was a perfect Autumn day at Granny Mouses Country House in the KZN Midlands when they tied the knot. Beautifully laid out tables sat in the shade under a giant willow tree on the banks of Lions River, guests enjoyed the most incredible picnic feast, a desert table groaned under all the delicious treats, soft jazz music wafted through the breeze, Adel looked like a princes in her swirly dress, family and friends loved, laughed and then lazed on picnic blankets next to the babbling brook. It really felt rather dreamy and a bit like a fairy tale!

Adel and Drew we so enjoyed your wedding. It was truly something special. Thanks for picking me!

And the credits in the Brides own words.

Byron proposed at a picnic, so that was the theme I designed the entire wedding around. The starting point was the venue, and as soon as we arrived to view Granny Mouse’s Country House we knew the willow trees on the bank of the Lion River was the perfect setting.Granny Mouse has a beautiful chapel with a view over the Balgowan valley and a spa that could handle the hair and make-up. They also designed and made the perfect picnic menu for us, complete with a dessert table that looked and tasted absolutely incredible.I designed and collected (and in some cases made) the décor and accessories over the months leading up to the wedding by scouring through numerous bridal magazines and wedding blogs. Most of the décor we brought over from the UK and that which we could not bring with us our coordinator Kate, from Main Stone Events, helped us to source.Venue: Granny Mouse Country House and Spa www.grannymouse.co.za

Jacki – you have such a feel for the landscape of this country, and ‘place’ your subjects so perfectly. I dont think i’ve ever seen such a beautiful wedding dress, and you pics show the bride in all her glory. Well done.

What a fresh, happy wedding. You’re right, Adel – the Granny Mouse chapel is a perfect venue. I like the literary theme throughout. It was the table numbers that caught my eye, but then Jacki your ring shot on the newspaper showing the date that pulled it together. You never cease to amaze me Jacki! I say it every time, but I I mean it each time: So very well done!

Left devoid of oxygen after seeing these pics! Was wondering if it were possible at all to capture the sheer poetic beauty of the day, but Jacki you achieved it! Adel, you are the epitome of gobsmackingly beautiful bride! I loved everything about that day!
