Hindu Wedding – Janani + David

My mouth immediately curls into a smile when I think back to Jan and David’s wedding day. It was such an explosion of color and bling that it had my heart skipping a beat, and yet there was an intimacy and a deep sense of spirituality that had me looking inward. This was my first Hindu wedding and I loved every moment of it! David is actually Christian and so they started the day off with a Hindu ceremony and ended it with a “western” bash!

After watching these two and getting to know them, I have come to realize that the overall spirit of the day is indicative of both of their personalities. They are both light, fun and colorful and yet they are both serious and earnest.

Janani and David are doctors and come from very different backgrounds but they have so many similarities. Their love for each other and people, and particularly the people in their lives is inspiring.

Jan and David, Thanks for picking me. We have absolutely loved working with you!!!

PS In case you were wondering they were married at the Collisheen in Ballito

When we started planning this wedding we wanted service providers who weren’t only the best at what they do but also sweet and kind souls who were easy to work and had their own personal style. Since we had 2 very different cultures and religions to fuse together in one event, we needed open- minded individuals who could think out of the box.

We met countless Divas along the way, who no doubt were amazing at what they do but we remained adamant that we wanted only the kindest souls and in the end I can safely say that we loved every single one of our service providers. They were a pleasure to work with and went out of their way to make our wedding the most special, memorable day of our lives! Thanks guys!
