Rainy Portuguese Netherwood Wedding – Nats + Ronny

There are two things that come to mind when I think  back to Natalie and Ronny’s wedding : Cold Day  – Warm People!

Natalie is a romantic with a huge heart! She loves all things pretty and has been known to get swept away with emotion at the site of beauty and in the presence of love. She is a sensitive soul who is deeply committed to her friends, family and her Ronny! Ronny is somewhat more practical than Nat’s, but I have watched him watching her and I can tell he has a toasty streak in him too! It must be the hot latin blood!  You see, Natalie and Ronny are both Portuguese.

They got married at Netherwood in the Natal Midlands on a very chilly, rainy day. No one was hugely distressed about the weather as the deep sense of family values, tradition, emotion and delicious food that one would expect from a Portuguese wedding thawed the icy temps.

Thanks so much to both of you for picking me. It has been a joy to work with you!

And now for the bride’s own words …..

Our idea behind the whole day was based around the fact that we went to the Midlands on a weekend break in the beginning of our relationship and the beauty of the meander always stuck with us. During that weekend away our favourite coffee shop quickly became blueberry café, and to our amazement when we viewed the Netherwood wedding venue on the same property, it was like love at first site! The cherry on the top was the that the Farm House at Netherwood could sleep our big family. It was our perfect wedding venue to say I Do!

Our idea behind the Décor was to keep it simple yet elegant and romantic at the same time. We came up with our theme – TIME & LOVE. We both come from close families and spending time together is very important, it’s this time that keeps us together as a family unit.  We wanted our family and friends to be as one 🙂 This is why we gave guests watches as favors.

Despite the Rainy weather, we quickly realised that it tied in with everything we fell in love in midlands and our theme 🙂

We couldn’t have chosen better service providers. Thanks to our dear planner Carolyn McNeil, we felt very comfortable and relaxed on the day.

We had a magical day filled with laughter, love and a weekend filled with memories never to forget
Thank you to everyone, friends and family who made our day worth every second of every minute of every hour worth while.

I have never seen such beautiful photographs – they really captured the beauty of the day (goose-bumps and all). And it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end (even when my car car got stuck in the mud and a farmer had to drag it out)
My absolute favorite image is the first one with all the raindrops in the background. All I can say is W-O-W
