Summer in Sweden

Sweden was never on my top list of places to visit, I tend to favor the more chaotic and colourful countries of Asia when it comes to adventure, but when Brian and Jo asked me to photograph their wedding I jumped at the opportunity to visit. We were fortunate to experience Sweden in the summer and the sun shone brightly for us every day. Sunshine or not, I now know that Sweden should be right up there as a top spot to travel!

Here are Jax’s top reasons to visit

Staggering natural beauty, which is so well conserved

In summer it only gets dark at 10.30 and the golden hour lasts for hours!

Great craft beer, delicious cheese, and bread to make you very fat!

The Fotografiska museum

Endless swimming opportunities (in summer)

Jaw dropping architecture

Everything works

First World transport systems

The shopping is out of this world but unless you are very rich or around for the sales you might not be able to afford much!

Elderflower cordial

Scandinavian design is something to behold

Ikea

The Fårö Islands and Gotland are simply mind boggling!

Bicycles everywhere

A lot of population look like models or could have modeled at some point and most people speak English

I wish I could take you on all my holidays and have you capture what the eye sees – but which is hardly ever immortalized as when you take the photo. It is just too beautiful.
