Bosjes Wedding Cape Town – Tam + Dale

My jaw literally dropped open as I got out of the car and my feet crunched along the gravel towards the venue!

My first thoughts were …. ‘Gosh this chapel looks like a space ship floating on water’

*If you’re the architect I’m very sorry for this thought. I know you were actually inspired by Psalm 36:7 and not Alien 4. This was just the first thing that came to mind! I actually think you are a genius and I so appreciate the organic nature of the flowing lines and the engineering feat that must have been required to make this incredible building

I’ve seen some pretty unique places to get married in my time, but nothing quite like Bosjes! It’s alot smaller than what one expects from photos but that doesn’t make it any less impressive! I circumnavigated the whole building, and then the grounds with all the beautiful gardens, water features, distinctive buildings and awe inspiring views and was well and truly blown away by the attention to detail that had gone into creating this wonderful celebration of aesthetics!

Of course Tam would have chosen this venue to say her I do’s! Tam was never the bride to get married somewhere conventional!

I met Tam a few years ago when I photographed her good friends wedding. I knew right away that she was a special one who lives life in her own way! Tam is a go getter who seems to make the impossible seem effortless! This is why I think that Bosjes fits her so well! It is a building which defies gravity, exudes beauty in a distinctive way and it leaves an impression on anyone who knows it! Much like Tam!

Tam and Dale met through a professional dating agency. She was the only date he ever had through said agency, and so whoever put these two files together got it right! They are absolutely perfect for each other! They must have been clinking champagne in that office when they heard that their match made marriage!

Tam and Dale thanks so very much for picking me to capture these memories for you! From the crazy gale force winds, to the top hat, to the purple chapel to the dessert first starter, your wedding was one for the books and I love how you made it your own!!!!! Thanks for picking me!

In case you are wondering Bosjes is in the Brede River Valley just two hours outside of Cape Town

Huge thanks to Linda Vos for coming to help with the photobooth and staying until the very end! I appreciate you so much!!!
