Hindu Wedding – Hemanth + Dori

If every wedding I shot was like Hemanth’s and Dori’s I would be a very happy photographer! It was one of those days where everything just ran so smoothly without an iota of stress or fuss. There was even time for a quick cup of tea. That never happens in my land!

Hemanth and Dori are both in the medical profession and met in the operating theatre in the States. After a proposal, on a little boat in France, they got married in the US and came out to South Africa for a second Hindu Ceremony with Hemanth’s friends and family. Although Dori is American she could have easily passed for an Asian princess in her sari. The whole day was rich with colour, texture, rituals and spices and my brief was to get really creative! I so enjoyed capturing this very special day. Thanks so much for picking me!!!

And now for a few words from the bride

Following our western wedding in America a month prior, our wedding in South Africa was much more perfect than we could ever have imagined.
It was definitely a bit challenging to plan a wedding on a different continent. It was only with the help of Hemanth’s cousin and uncle, Prema and Baldeo, were we able to pull off such a beautiful and seamless Hindu ceremony. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing family!

Thank you so much for everything, Jax. You and Liz were fantastic in every way possible!!!

Absolutely amazing, I love everything about these pictures. The vibrant colors, the way the photographer captured the emotions and joy of the day. You both looked gorgeous, and so very happy.
