Oyster Box Wedding – Ursula + Daniel

Ursula and Daniel had been together for so long without a proposal that she didn’t really expect that she would be that girl that walked down the aisle in a wedding gown, and she was Ok with that. But life has a funny way of shifting our perspective and next thing you know they were checking out diamonds at Shimansky and Daniel landed up proposing not once but twice! The second time involved a cupcake which must have certainly sealed the deal as Ursula’s passion is to bake. I spent a fair bit of time oogling over her delicious looking treats on her website and do so wish that they lived closer so I could actually sample a few of her creations.

Ursula and Daniel live in Zurich and flew out to South Africa to have their very intimate wedding at The Oyster Box Hotel with their most nearest and dearest and there was a sweetness in the air just like her cupcakes.

Thanks so much for picking me and for being so lovely and understanding about my flu. I hope I get to sample a cupcake one day over tea.

Second Shooter: Tash Schoeman

Venue: Oysterbox Hotel Umhlanga Rocks Durban, Gazebo, Oysterbar, Shell Room and everything was coordinated by their wedding fairy who goes by the name of Ginny.

Wedding planner: None, OMG, it was all my fault… said the Bride… no one to blame but me 😉 in my defense, I did it all from Zürich!

Décor: Kobus Niemann desflowers@hotmail.com

Flowers: Kobus Niemann, his job wasn’t easy, loose but classic flowers soft pink combined with sweeties’ favorite rock roses and he made it happen.

Hair: Terry Scout and his merry band of helpers who showed off my inner diva.

Make-up: Charelle McAllister www.facebook.com/MakeupByCharelle…. Queen of beauty and Master of Lash Extensions, with a lot going on, you gave us your all, I felt the prettiest I could be and still so very much me. Thank you, from us all!

Brides Dress: www.sanpatrick.com St. Patrick 1964 Collection 2013 bought 1 year minus 2 week before the wedding. It was the first, the best, the only… my precious!

Brides shoes: CLARKS, on Sale 😉 great cushioning! After 10h30 Crocs Ivory Ballerinas were perfect for the slippery dance floor.

Bridesmaid’s dresses: Hand maid in the Philippines, her mini me flower girl Paige wore a matching sparkly pink till dress with a princess hair-do. Both with matching bouquets.

Groom’s Suit: Strellson (Swiss Brand) Rick-James with an ivory shirt and tie, carbon cufflinks but the best were his shoes… black leather, made in Italy with BLUE souls. He got the something blue 😉

Cake: Nicole’s Luxury Handmade Indulgences 3 Tier/3 Flavors, Chocolate Cherry, Lemon and Banana… loved the Banana! All covered in white detailed with lace and a waterfall of pink hydrangea petals. She also made the cupcake “name card holders” and I supplied the completely edible name cards. The red wine glasses worked well as cupcake card holder stands and were already on the table at no extra cost 😉

Music Ceremony:

Shelly De Wolf Cell: 076 3308741 Dear Shelly… thank you thank you thank you. It sounded just as I had hoped, your timing was on the dot. A thousand years was/is just so our song it was overwhelming.

Music Reception Dinner:

Vivian Westergreen… played exactly what we needed and what we wanted. Perfect intuition, lovely person, couldn’t have wished for more.

Priest: AJ & Beulah Haasbroek, thank you Beulah for the help oversees. AJ you were brilliant, calming and reassuring and made the whole ceremony feel right for us. Even with the language obstacle you were able to make all the Swiss Germans laugh!
