Zimbali Wedding – Nerissa + Rohan

Nerissa and Rohan are both doctors who live in Australia. I have photographed quite a few weddings of doctors and I’ve come to realise that these professionals seem to love a very good party! This wedding was most certainly a good thrash but it was also a day of love, faith, family, friendship and a lot of fun!

Nerissa was born in South Africa but has lived down under for most of her life, whilst Rohan was born in Australia and has roots in India. They decided to get married in South Africa as Nerissa still has a piece of her heart and a bunch of family members here. People flew in from all over the world for their big day which made it a part destination wedding and part homecoming wedding! They said their I do’s in a church and went on to celebrate in a beautiful reception at Fairmont Zimbali which was beautifully decorated and planned to perfection by the ladies from Labola.

The things I will remember from this wedding are how loved these two are by their very close knit group of friends, Nerissa’s very beautiful but pinchy shoes, how happy I was when Linday from Labola arrived with drinks and snacks during our photo session after the church, all the funny Aussie accents, that tequila bottle that never seemed to empty and how much I enjoyed meeting these two! If you have a second wedding in India pretty please can I come and photograph that for you???? It can’t be over already??

Thanks so very much for picking me!
