Zorgvliet Cape Town Winelands Wedding – Kelly + Mike

I would say I have traveled quite extensively and, after all the globetrotting, I still maintain that Cape Town is one of the most spectacular places in the world. The wine regions of  Stellenbosch/ Franshoek area are equally mind blowing with their grandious mountains, endless vineyards and quaint buildings. It is for this reason that Kelly decided to make the trek from Joburg to the Cape for their wedding. Zorgvliet wine estate provided the perfect venue for their closest friends and family to celebrate with them. Kelly and Mike’s wedding didn’t have a huge guest list but it had loads of style!

On the day after their wedding they got back into their outfits and we headed into Cape Town to take a few more photos at Llandudno Beach. There are many folk who opt to do a trash the dress shoot after their wedding day where the bride will get into the water with her dress. In Kelly and Mike’s case it landed up being a trash the photographer shoot where I submerged myself into the icy atlantic to catch the perfect photo. It took me half an hour in a hot bath to warm up but I was super happy with the result.

Kelly and Mike thanks for everything! Your wedding was truly something and it was such a treat to shoot in the Cape! Thanks for picking me!!!

And now for a few words from the bride ….

I’m not the greatest with words but basically I wanted a day which was fun, creative and memorable, not just for us but also for our guests. I think it was that and so much more. Thank you so much for being a part of our day. As much as you give us memories in the form of pictures you actually fill up a major part of our memories when we look back (without the pictures). Your vibrant personality and creative mind absolutely blew me away. Thanks for making it so special!

I would love to have been present at such a joyous occasion but am thrilled to be able to share some of the moments through this video. I couldn’t find my dear neffie Terry in the video but Michael looks enough like him to make up for it. Saw Joan, and Ray and Cheryl and Terry2 so now I am happy.

I wish long life and happiness to dear Michael and Kelly with much love from your old aunt Joy in Canada.
