Sam is like a sister to me! We are opposites in many ways but sort of similar in others. My actual sister Lisa and I were watching the Wednesday series on Netflix one night and she joked that Sam is like Wednesday and that I am like her werewolf roommate. Sam is most definitely not morose and she is a lot lighter than the Adams family but she does love to wear black and will always defend the good. She’s fiercely independent, small, and badaas just like Wednesday. This became the inspiration for my portrait session with her, although we didn’t make her wear pigtails.
We started our session with some creative portraits and then I made her a series of branding photos for her new brand strategy program that she will be launching. It was blowing a gale that day and bucketing down with rain, so having a studio with a warm fireplace was a real blessing, as we would have had to have cancelled if I was relying on using an outdoor location.
I am so incredibly lucky to count this human as my chosen family. Love you, Samlet.
