Charity drop with the Robin Hood Foundation
For the last few years I have been wanting to donate more time to doing work for NGO’s that are making a difference to peoples lives in South Africa. During lockdown I approached a number of NGO’s to offer my services as a photographer so they could use my images for their marketing purposes and drive awareness to their cause. Last week I went on a food and winter clothing drop off with the Robin Hood foundation. Every year they donate up to 10 000 “gogo bags’ to Grandmothers in need as one of their many projects. Often these Grandmothers are supporting a number of grandchildren and don’t receive enough money from government grants so these food parcels are a lifeline for them. It was wonderful to see the connection between the volunteers and people in the community that they have been helping for many years.
It was a different experience shooting with a mask on and having to sanitise hands every few minutes but it was a wonderful.

Here are a few pics from the day.
I shot these with the Nikon Z6 which was my first time using this camera. Thanks Nikon for the loan!
